The system merges three sources and uses 2024 prices as its anchor. It works in five steps:

  1. Find materials. Gather them in the wild (Foraging) or harvest them from creatures (Harvesting Creatures). Every material has a grade that tells you how much MP it can hold (Grades and Capacity).
  2. Process. Ore is smelted into bars, hides are tanned, wood is sawn. Processing changes the form, not the grade (Materials and Refining).
  3. Know the recipe. A recipe is knowledge you have to acquire. It lists which materials are needed and the minimum grade of each (Recipes).
  4. Charge. Characters charge MP into the materials. Every class can charge (Charging), and Power Sites speed it up.
  5. Ritual and finished item. A short ritual binds the parts together. The item has exactly the MP that was charged into it, and its value is 2 × MP (Rarity and MP).
