Part descriptions
Complex Gills
Finely layered, feathery membranes that soak up more air than simple gills – enough to breathe underwater.
Good for: water-breathing items (good fit).
Draconic Turtle Blood
Greenish dragon blood with a faint arcane spark in it.
Use: can replace the magic ink for copying spells into a spellbook – it covers up to 50 gp of ink.
Good for: scrolls (good fit).
Draconic Turtle Heart
A pale-green, leathery dragon heart with a dim glow – said to hold the dragon’s pride and might.
Use: eat it (action) and make a DC 14 Wisdom save. Success – you can’t be frightened for 8 hours.
Good for: items that cause or resist fear, and dragon-themed items (good fit).
Dragon Turtle Shell
A dragon turtle’s sea-green shell – a natural fortress.
Good for: armour (excellent fit).
Steam Gland
A throat gland that steams constantly; it brews the fluid behind a dragon turtle’s breath.
Use: swallow it (action) and make a DC 14 Constitution save. Failure – you take 3d6 fire damage. Success – you breathe scalding steam in a 30-foot cone; each creature there makes a DC 14 Dexterity save, taking 7d6 fire damage on a failure or half on a success.
Good for: breath, steam and fire items.
