The ingredient library is just the notes in the Ingredients folder – from Nord Games or anywhere else. Add as many as you like.
- Create a new note anywhere inside Ingredients (e.g.
Ingredients/Herbs & Plants/Moonleaf.md). - Insert the template Ingredient (Templates → Ingredient).
- Fill in the fields:
name, gradeandcapacity– see Grades and Capacity (Low 10, Medium 100, High 1,000 …).environments– every place it can be found, e.g.[Forest, Mountains, Swamp]. To make an ingredient findable in more places, just add the environment to this list – that also works for the imported ingredients.found– the text the DM reads out (“Found under old oaks.”). If it grows somewhere different in one environment, add anoccurrencesentry for that environment with its ownfound(and optionallyclimateorgrade) – see an imported ingredient for the format.climate– e.g.[Temperate, Tropical]. Leave it empty for every climate.search– what a player looks for to find it: Herbs & plants, Fungi, Wood & trees, Stone & minerals, Ore & metal, Shells, Other finds.seasons–plentiful, some, scarceorabsentfor each season. This sets the quantity die in What’s Here.property– the unique property, if any.source– where it comes from.
- Save. It shows up in What’s Here and Ingredient Lookup straight away in Obsidian, and on the website after the next push.
The import script never deletes or overwrites notes, so your own ingredients and your edits to imported ones are safe.
