The vault has every creature from Nord Games’ harvesting chapter (325). Creatures Nord doesn’t cover – a nothic, a monster from another setting, your own creations – can be added as notes, and the Harvest Tool works for them straight away.

  1. Create a note in Creatures/ (e.g. Creatures/Aberrations/Nothic.md).
  2. Insert the template Creature (Templates → Creature).
  3. Fill in:
    • cr, creature_type (aberration, beast, celestial, construct, dragon, elemental, fey, fiend, giant, humanoid, monstrosity, ooze, plant, undead) and size.
    • grade and capacity from the CR: Low 0–2 (10) · Medium 3–6 (100) · High 7–11 (1,000) · Supreme 12–17 (10,000) · Mythic 18+ (50,000).
    • traits – these give the trait parts automatically. Use the names below.
    • parts – the creature’s own parts, one block each (name, classification, grade, check, DC, drawback and ruin damage, load: light / medium / heavy, bulk: true for hide, scales, bone, blood …). Make up what fits the creature; a part at the creature’s grade has the grade’s DC (Low 10, Medium 15, High 20 …).
  4. Statblock: keep statblock: homebrew and write your own statblock under Statblock – or link to where it is printed. Creatures from the free SRD already have theirs.
  5. Save. The creature shows up in the Harvest Tool and Creature Lookup.
